Martin Byrial is a Danish composer based in Los Angeles, working across film music, concert hall, game scores, production and performance.
His work includes the original score for Robbie C. Williamson’s feature film God Teeth and Concerto for Strings & Organ No. 1, a six-movement work premiered in Aalborg under conductor Henrik Vagn Christensen.
Alongside his own scores, Martin works with composer Jesper Kyd across film, games and live performance. His public credits on Crazxy are lead orchestrator and performer; the original score is by Jesper Kyd.
His artistic origins lie in LISERSTILLE, the Danish post-rock group and constant experiment, in which he worked as composer, singer and synthesist. Years of writing, recording and performing music built around stories - music in linear form - became the foundation for his work in media and the concert hall.
Across these settings, the constant is an interest in story and process: how music can give time and weight to an image that resists ordinary language.
