The Gratitude Concert (Concerto for Strings and Organ No. 1) is a six-movement symphonic homage by Martin Byrial. Scored for string orchestra and organ, it gives voice to the stories of people and families fighting chronic illness and disability — narratives of struggle, dignity, gratitude, and hope.
World-premiered in May 2023 in Aalborg, Denmark under conductor Henrik Vagn Christensen. The hidden become heard, the unseen gain recognition, and the resilient find resonance.
